The Sidney Myer Music Bowl is located at Kings Domain Gardens, Linlithgow Ave, Melbourne VIC 3000.

Flinders Street Station is a short tram ride or 10-15 minute walk from the Sidney Myer Music Bowl. Outside Flinders Street Station, trams travel south on St Kilda Road to the venue.

Tram stop #17 on St Kilda Road is the closest to the venue. The following tram routes stop there: 3,5,6,16,64,67 & 72.

Limited pay and display parking is available in the streets surrounding the Sidney Myer Music Bowl and the Royal Botanic Gardens.

The closest undercover car park is at Arts Centre Melbourne. The entrance is located at the corner of Sturt and Kavanagh Streets, Southbank. From here, the Sidney Myer Music Bowl is a 10 minute walk or short tram ride.

Entry to the Sidney Myer Music Bowl is only via Gate 1.

Yes. Food trucks will be onsite for each event and orders can be placed via the QR code in your designated area.

Bars will be open for most events, serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

The Sidney Myer Music Bowl is a cashless venue. We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express payments.

There is a free water bottle refill station located near the food trucks, so we recommend bringing a reusable water bottle. Due to safety protocols, water fountains are not available.

You are welcome to bring food into Summer Sounds Melbourne Live at the Bowl series.

However, this cannot include:

• Glass
• Hard-sided containers or eskies
• Large knives

Please note that alcohol cannot be brought into the Sidney Myer Music Bowl.

• Professional cameras, selfie sticks, GoPros & iPads (personal camera phones will be permitted)

• Tables, tents or sun shelters and/or portable seating of any kind
• Hard-sided containers or eskies
• Glass
• Promotional material of any kind
• Large sun umbrellas

If any of these items are found they will not be permitted inside the venue.

Sidney Myer Music Bowl is a smoke free venue. Smoking (including e-cigarettes) is not permitted within the venue. If you wish to smoke please proceed to the designated smoking area on the side hills.

Summer Sounds Melbourne Live at the Bowl series will go ahead rain, hail or shine. The Sidney Myer Music Bowl is an outdoor amphitheatre. If rain or bad weather occurs, the show will proceed unless it’s deemed unsafe to do so.

Umbrellas are allowed into the main lawn area but are required to be closed during the performance so as not to obstruct the view of those behind you. Ponchos will be available for purchase from all bars.

You are welcome to sit, stand or dance within your designated area. For your safety and the safety of others, please remain within your area and maintain a distance of 1.5m from other groups.

For those on Stalls Tables, please dance in the area behind your tables. For those on Private Decks, please remain on your deck and do not sit, stand or swing on the rails. Dancing on the lawn itself, or at another deck or table, is not permitted.

The Sidney Myer Music Bowl is an outdoor venue however as a licensed venue, a minimum dress code applies. Shirts and shoes are required at all times.

We encourage you to arrive early and reduce the number of items you bring into the venue. It is a condition of entry that all patrons comply with an ID check and search of bags or belongings if requested before entering the venue. Prohibited items will not be allowed inside the venue.

For the protection and safety of all patrons the Sidney Myer Music Bowl is under 24-hour camera surveillance which will continue during the event. The Sidney Myer Music Bowl reserves the right to refuse or revoke entry for any behaviour or activity that is illegal, poses a safety risk or impacts upon other patrons’ ability to enjoy the event.
