Baker Boy

Born in Darwin and raised in the remote NT communities of Milingimbi and Maningrida, Danzal Baker aka Baker Boy is a multidisciplinary artist working across rap, dance and acting. With a string of incredibly catchy hits including Cloud 9, Marryuna, Mr La Di Da Di and Meditjin already behind him, in 2020 he released Better Days featuring long time collaborator Dallas Woods and powerhouse Sampa The Great. An inspiration both on and off the stage, Danzal has been the recipient of many awards including 2019 Young Australian of the Year and 2019 Artist of the Year at the NIMAs. We couldn’t be more stoked to welcome him to the Summer Sounds Festival stage!
