INTRODUCING SUMMER SOUNDS

Live music events are back in South Australia! Summer Sounds Festival is a concert series at a specially designed, SA Health-approved outdoor venue. More than 20 epic shows will be staged during the summer festive season in Bonython Park/Tulya Wodli, in Adelaide’s beautiful Park Lands.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Summer Sounds Festival brings you a new way to enjoy live entertainment with your friends. When you book your ticket, you book for your entire party pod – a group of 4-6 people in your social group. Pods are spaced to allow for social distancing, keeping everyone safe. In your party pod, you can dance, drink, stand or sit as you enjoy the show on stage! We think you’ll love some of the features on offer in this new era of live events.

TICKETING

Tickets must be purchased online through Moshtix prior to the show. When booking, you must purchase tickets for your group of 4-6 people in the one transaction. You’ll be in the same party pod as your social group – and only your social group – to watch the show. This ticketing process is necessary for the purpose of contact tracing.

YOUR PARTY POD

Your party pod will include:

  • chairs (one for each patron)
  • drinks you have pre-ordered
  • a cooler for your drinks
  • disposable cups
  • an NFC (Near Field Communication) tag, which will allow you to place drink orders via the MyVenue app on your smartphone
  • access to a bin system, which will be emptied by our cleaning team.

Some party pods will take the form of roped areas on grass; others will be raised platforms.

Each party pod will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between shows.

In your party pod you and your group can:

  • sit
  • stand
  • drink
  • dance
  • and any combination of all of the above, at the same time!

Please note – Summer Sounds Festival is an entirely open-air, outdoor event. Rain or shine, the show goes on, so please come prepared.

ARRIVAL

Your ticket will include an entry time: a 15-minute window in which you and your group will be asked to arrive at the venue. This is to prevent any congestion at the entrances to the event. If queues do form, there will be 1.5m markers on the ground to encourage social distancing between groups.

Your group will need to arrive at the same time. Once your tickets have been scanned in, you will be given coloured and numbered wristbands signifying which pod you have been allocated, and you will be directed to your pod.

CONTACT TRACING

Every person who enters the Summer Sounds Festival site will need to complete the South Australian Government’s COVID SAfe Check-In, accessed via QR code on arrival. In order to scan the QR code, you can use the mySA Gov app or the camera on your smartphone. If you do not have a smartphone, there will be a limited number of paper contact tracing forms available.

DRINKS SERVICE

Pre-purchase Your Drink Packages

You can pre-purchase drinks via Moshtix before the event. Your pre-ordered drinks will be ready for collection upon arrival. Access drinks through your Moshtix account by logging in and clicking on the event to unlock your drinks options. BUY NOW.

Collecting Your Drinks

Drink packages can be collected from the Pre-Order Collection Point. Turn right once you enter the event site, and head towards the food vendors to find the collection point. You will need to show the Moshtix drinks ticket that you have been emailed, and photo ID, to claim your order.

You can then take your drinks to your pod to enjoy! It was previously stated that pre-ordered drinks would be placed in pods before patrons arrive at the event, but this is not possible due to liquor licensing requirements.

Ordering Drinks During The Show

All drink purchases at the event will be made via the MyVenue app, and delivered directly to your party pod via a bar buggy. How’s that for service! The drinks menu will feature alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Alcohol must only be consumed within your party pod. If you leave your pod to go to the toilet or collect food, you must leave your drinks behind in your pod.

There will be no bar for patrons to leave their party pod to buy from – only direct delivery by event staff to pods.

The usual liquor licensing rules apply, including that no alcohol can be brought into or out of the event.

FREE WATER

Free drinking water will be available via taps near each toilet area. You are welcome to bring your own water bottle to fill, or use the disposable cups provided in each pod.

FOOD

A number of delicious food vendors will be serving food at the event, as well as non-alcoholic drinks and water.

Forage Supply Co – plant-based and gluten-free food
GANG GANG – burgers
Greek Palace – yiros, pizza
Pappi’s Pizza – pizza
Sookii La La Street Food – laksa, curries
+ The Market Black serving coffee.
You are welcome to leave your party pod to buy and collect food. However, you’ll need to take your food back to your pod to eat it.

Our COVID Marshals will monitor queue lines at the food vendors to ensure social distancing.

TOILETS

Each party pod will be allocated one of several toilet zones to use, nearest to your pod. Your wristband will indicate which zone is yours to use.

There will be a high ratio of toilets and hand washing stations to patrons at this event, which we know is a plus! We will also have a dedicated cleaning team operating throughout the event, cleaning and sanitising toilets, hand washing stations, and any other frequently touched surfaces.

Accessible toilets will be present on site and available only for patrons with access needs.

CLEANING

Hand sanitiser will be available at entry points. We also encourage you to bring your own sanitiser to use in your pods. Our cleaning team will be working throughout the event, across the whole event site, to keep the environment as sanitary as possible.

We look forward to seeing you at Summer Sounds Festival!
